Kin + Carta joins Leadership Summit alongside COP26

Vision 2045

Playing our part in creating a sustainable world for everyone.

As a B Corp certified company centered on sustainable digital transformation, Kin + Carta is proud to have been selected as one of 50 global companies involved in the Vision 2045 initiative.

With this honor, Client Director of Responsible Business Jennifer Crowley presented on a panel at the Vision 2045 leadership summit that took place alongside the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Scotland, which featured some of the world’s most innovative businesses working together to advance the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. We were proud to have the opportunity to share our learnings, gain insight from others and take on the mantle of leadership to help build a world that works better for everyone in a way that balances people, profit and the planet.

What is Vision 2045?

Vision 2045 is an initiative led by Reuters that brings together 50 of the world’s most innovative and ambitious businesses to join forces and leverage cutting-edge technology to create world-changing outcomes. The three-day summit of business leaders, UN delegates, government officials, and journalists runs alongside COP26 and takes place in a specially constructed sustainable venue for a series of groundbreaking panel discussions that follow the themes in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Goals to change the world

In 2015 the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The aim is to make substantial progress on these by 2045, the UN’s 100th anniversary. From good health to protecting the oceans, these Goals can only be achieved through inclusion and diversity, technological advances and the commitment of the business community.

Vision 2045 panel: Reduced inequalities

Our CEO J Schwan was to speak on a panel discussing how businesses are using technology to create equal opportunity in the world and how digital transformation can create a framework for reducing inequalities. But there was a change of plans. We recognized the lack of gender diversity on the panels and our ability to create equal opportunity in real time, so we passed the mic to our own amazingly talented Jennifer Crowley to represent Kin + Carta. The panel featured Kin + Carta alongside BSH Hausgeräte, Novartis and Tikehau Capital.
