Kin + Carta named one of UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing
We are happy to announce that Kin + Carta has been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing by Great Place to Work®, landing at #48.
Great Place to Work has analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing people’s holistic experiences of wellbeing at work to determine the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Three years ago, when the impact of the pandemic was first felt, Kin + Carta wanted to do more to provide mental health and wellbeing support. Compassion has always been a core value, but significant time was spent turning that into action with meaningful support and resources. Firstly, Kin + Carta invested training employees to be Mental Health First Aiders and now have 44 in the UK. In addition, Kin + Carta partnered with That Day, providing live online fitness classes, cook-a-longs, meditations and more. Now that the pandemic has subsided the focus has shifted to supporting employees mental health through new initiatives such as free therapy sessions.
This award means a lot, and I'm incredibly proud. It is the culmination of many people's hard work as we continue to build a world that works better for everyone. But, to do that, we must first look inward to supporting our people, our wellbeing and our smaller world of Kin + Carta so that we can go out and build that better world for everyone.
As Kin + Carta continues to build towards one of its Big Heroic Audacious Goals (BHAGs) of being an internationally recognised best place to work, award programs like Great Place to Work prove that all the effort put into fostering a culture of transparency and innovation are worth it.
