Project Manager, Talent Development

The opportunity

The role

Kin + Carta’s Talent Development team is looking for a Project / Program Manager to work on our new and exciting grass roots talent program to enable us to bring in diverse talent in the early stages of their career from multiple backgrounds to help us achieve our growth and IDEA targets. The Kin Accelerator Program (KAP) supports the intake of new designers, engineers, and product analysts into the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Kin + Carta stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the Kin Accelerator Program from start to finish in the Americas (Latam + US)
  • Work with a team of Kin + Carta employees to coordinate all parts of the Kin Accelerator Program including course development, program facilitation, future cohort planning, program marketing, budget management, social events, and more!
  • Work with Kin Accelerator Program stakeholders to ensure trainers have what they need to make the program awesome and effective. 
  • Align and drive content and process with practice leaders to develop and/or refine training to ensure successful training for the analysts align closely with our LMS
  • Create programs to solicit various types of feedback (e.g. skills surveys) to gain an understanding of necessary improvements.
  • Organize social events related to making Kin Accelerator Program participants feel comfortable and included.
  • Responsible for aligning people leadership and KAP buddy system to ensure all candidates have an effective mentorship and support network as they execute the program.
  • Generate reports related to how Kin Accelerator Program participants performed and what can be improved.
  • As participants graduate from Kin Accelerator Program, the Specialist will work with the casting team to ensure graduates are cast to projects.
  • Conduct retrospective discussions around each cohort to ensure the development of organizational learnings and influence the growth and expansion of the program.

What success looks like in this role

  • You will be seen as the go to person for all things KAP by our Americas leadership team (qualitative survey feedback)
  • KAP cohorts will share positive experiences of the induction program (survey results)
  • Practise leaders will find providing craft content easy and efficient on their time (survey feedback)
  • We have a higher than average retention rate for KAP cohorts 

Minimum qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience participating in all aspects of delivery for a range of projects e.g. performance management, onboarding, career development programs, data-driven feature development, and/or building out new programs
  • Experience working in Talent Development, People Experience, People Operations or similar 
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile Methodologies and the tech industry
  • Experience in developing training, learning programmes and onboarding new staff
  • Platforms and the e-learning framework
  • Ability to create and manage project plans, project budgets, project forecasts and risk logs

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Comfortable with effecting change among leaders
  • Comfortable articulating the project scope/requirements, Kin + Carta's capabilities, and detailing a project approach.
  • Demonstrated management of multiple smaller projects simultaneously or a single, complex project independently
  • Understanding of Agile leadership and facilitation of teams to deliver human-centric solutions
  • Able to consult with internal stakeholders to identify the most suitable delivery approach which may be a hybrid of methodologies
  • Familiar with all aspects of software development and digital transformation
  • Experience building programs with equity, inclusion, diversity, and awareness top of mind
  • A desire to ensure an environment of transparency and an ability to grow and maintain the trust of your teams and internal clients
  • Proactive at managing expectations for internal client teams
  • Experience working for an agency or startup
