The opportunity

The role

Kin + Carta is seeking an innovative Managing Director to help drive people and organization processes in our growing Colombia Office. The Managing Director will work directly with the Latin America's organization and other Kin+Carta executive counterparts on the office's direction and strategy and will be an executive liaison to our clients representing Colombia.


Role responsibilities

  • Office Operations / Financials:
    • Owner of all the office financials:
      • Utilization (Billable and Managed) 
      • Client Profitability (including Gross Margin) 
        • Booked vs Actual, maximizing SOWs
        • Works with Client teams to ensure we are not leaving $ on the table
      • Employee payroll and benefits
      • Taxes
      • Insurances
      • Purchasing
      • Establish the relationships with vendors/providers/etc
      • Initial and ongoing landlord/coworking negotiations
      • Owns the P&L of the whole Colombia office
      • Manages Business Measures
    • Completion of monthly invoicing/reporting package
    • Ad Hoc reporting (Expenses, etc)
    • Understanding of Colombia's financial rules/regulations
  • Consulting Services & Office Operations:
  • Ensures successful client service and delivery/support.
    • Builds strong relationships with both client and internal stakeholders.
      • Gathers information through face to face interaction with both and ensures that themes/tensions are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Supports all disciplines delivered and/or supported from Colombia.
    • Supports the sales efforts.
      • Reviews every SOW involving Colombia.
      • Provides support to our sales team when needed, attending meetings, and providing expertise. 
    • Supports new service lines
      • Works with the latam strategy team towards successful implementation of new service lines. 
    • Supports the America's Target Operating Model
    • Owns the company's culture development in Colombia
  • Colombia's Sales
    • Responsible for leveraging the Colombia Office capabilities towards the groups' sister companies.
  • People
      • Works with Latam's Head of Employee Experience for
        • Decision on need from a business perspective
        • Confirms the staffing of the people to the projects
        • Work with Employee Experience to ensure:
          • Training - internal and external expenses for the office are targeted and appropriate
          • Appropriate training curriculum with each Practice.
          • Successful communications on the direction of the office
          • Training and People Development
          • Client and Project On - boarding

        • Ensuring K+C's culture is continued to be cared for

        • Personnel
  • Facilities and Services:
      • Office maintenance and follow-up enhancements 
      • Utilities
      • Security
      • Opening and closing the office on/off business hours
      • Food & Meals
      • Safety at the workplace (fire drills, fire extinguishers maintenance, etc)
      • Elevator maintenance
      • Power generator maintenance and handling
  • IT Support & Infrastructure:
    • Networking.
    • Device management.
    • Information management.
