On Thursday 6th February, we attended the ‘Card and Payments Awards’ alongside NatWest in recognition of their Bankline Mobile app which won both ‘Best Initiative in Digital Payments’ and ‘Best Industry Innovation of the Year’.
Attended by over 1200 people from across Europe, the ‘Card and Payment Awards’ recognise excellence and innovation in card and payment solutions across the UK and Ireland. NatWest selected Kin + Carta Create as their mobile design and development partner in 2017, and we were both delighted to be able to celebrate the success of Bankline Mobile: a product which truly makes business banking easier and more efficient for NatWest customers.
NatWest Bankline Mobile is the only business app in the UK that uses secure biometric authentication to make multi-million pound payments. By removing the need for a card-reader, the app has been able to reduce journey time for customers by 80%.

Not only was Bankline Mobile the UK’s first PSD2-compliant payment approval solution for business payments of any size, it was also the first app in the world to automate the testing of Touch/Face ID on iOS.
