Kick-start your career in technology consulting

Kin Accelerator Program (KAP)

What is the Kin Accelerator Program?

At Kin + Carta, we believe that in order to build a world that works better for everyone we first have to start with building the world's best digital workforce. That's why we've developed the Kin Accelerator Program, or KAP, as we like to call it.

Designed for recent college or technical bootcamp graduates, the Kin Accelerator Program exists to upskill our future generation of Kin in best-in-class Agile software delivery practices. Through comprehensive training and community building activities, our cohorts emerge from KAP fully prepared to deliver excellent client service as entry-level analysts in engineering, user experience design or product.

What you'll learn

Our approach to learning ensures that you receive both top-notch training from demonstrated and specialized experts, along with practical hands-on experience guided by trusted leaders at Kin + Carta.

Once you graduate from the Kin Accelerator Program, you will confidently join our teams across the firm with the necessary tools and skills to begin your career in technology consulting.

Our program curriculum is comprised of four components:

Group of professionals engaging in an agile workshop

1. Core training

You will join fellow KAP analysts to learn agile best practices, customer experience driven design, consulting 101 and more — all of which will help you to develop a strong foundation for a successful career at Kin + Carta.

2. Practice-specific training

You will learn from Kin + Carta consultants themselves who leverage their current and past experiences to provide you with relevant, role-specific training in your chosen specialty (engineering, user experience design or product).

3. Practical experience

With support and guidance from Kin + Carta’s senior leaders, you will be placed into various learning paths to apply your new skills to real work and continue developing your career.

4. Kin development

In addition to technical training, you will be supported in your professional development with various seminars on topics like networking, “a day in the life at Kin + Carta”, and leadership development.

Being fresh to the industry and to Kin + Carta, our Kin Accelerator Program team members brought a valuable new perspective to the project from a design and development standpoint. That fresh perspective helped break down blinders that we had on.

Being a mentor to Hillary, a female engineer, was such a fulfilling experience. We met biweekly for 9 weeks as she got acquainted with Kin + Carta and our culture here. I was able to chat with her about any early career hesitations, similar to ones I experienced — imposter syndrome, networking, and just life as a female engineer in general.
