The role in a nutshell:

As a Senior iOS Engineer on our projects, your primary focus will be delivering high-quality mobile applications, ensuring technical excellence and coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Join us in crafting innovative solutions and delivering exceptional user experiences!

What you can expect

  • Take an active part in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, estimation, documentation, development, testing, bug fixing and support.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and clients to define, design and ship innovative mobile experiences.
  • Contribute to UX decisions, as well as improving project processes and methodologies.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Learn from colleagues and share your expertise with them.
  • Establish best practices, coding standards and development workflows to improve team efficiency and maintain high code quality.

The type of person we’d like to meet:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial iOS application development.
  • Deep familiarity with Swift programming language.
  • Good understanding of Storyboards, Xibs, Autolayout and managing Threading & Concurrency in iOS.
  • Strong understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle and good architectural knowledge.
  • Ability to apply common architectural approaches including MVP, MVVM, VIPER and others.
  • Profound knowledge of Xcode and source control systems like git.
  • Ability to write maintainable and testable code, with a good understanding of Unit and Snapshot testing and the value they bring.
  • Excellent knowledge of AppStore Connect, Testflight and Apple Developer Console.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Great command of English (reading, writing and speaking).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SwiftUI.
  • Proven track record for successful iOS projects.
  • Strong interest in mobile technologies and a good understanding of general mobile architectures, trends and new technologies.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD systems and pipelines.
  • Experience working with SCRUM / Agile methodologies
  • Sense of humor.

The interview process at Kin + Carta

Here’s what to expect from the interview process at Kin + Carta: 

Intro Call with the Talent Team (30 mins) – If your skills and experience match the role requirements, our Talent team will contact you to arrange a call. The aim of this call is to get to know you and for you to find out more about Kin + Carta. This call can be held by Zoom. After this call, if we feel like you are a good match for the role, you’ll be invited to a first-stage interview.

First-Stage Interview (90 minutes) -  This will typically be a Q&A style interview, lasting approximately 90 minutes. This process is designed to help our team find out about your skills and experience but also what you enjoy and what motivates you. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask our team questions and learn more about us! 

Task - In the next stage of the interview process, you'll come across a task segment where you'll receive a real-time assignment. This task presents a valuable opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills and abilities in a practical setting.

Making a Decision - Following the interview process, our hiring team will get together to discuss feedback and make a final decision. We aim to get back to you as soon as we possibly can! 

Our average recruitment process takes around three to four weeks. You will be assigned a dedicated member of our Talent team to support you throughout the process.
