The role in a nutshell

We are looking for the strategic leader to support our ambitious trajectory, and keep proving that Kin + Carta makes sustainable digital transformation happen. As a member of the strategy practice, you will always have a varied role, between pre-sales & GTM, project or programme leadership, and stakeholder engagement and management. Over your first six months with Kin + Carta, you are likely to have an opportunity to participate in all of the below:

Help Kin + Carta win more work, and uncover new opportunities

  • Pitch and win work for K+C across our target and growth verticals, leveraging your extensive experience and deep understanding of client needs
  • Work with our Portfolio Directors to deeply understand client needs and grow our presence in existing client organisations
  • Evolve our GTM proposition to meet emergent opportunities based on prospect and client contact time

Help Kin + Carta build its presence and credentials across Digital Transformation with new content and ideas 

  • Develop points of view, marketing content and activities to drive awareness of what we do and how we do it
  • Collaborate with the brightest designers and engineers to deeply understand the latest technologies and their potential applications
  • Represent K+C externally at events and conferences

Support senior clients, and K+C delivery teams with your subject matter expertise:

  • Targeted or ongoing coaching, counselling or network building within client organisations to help us deliver the best possible work and uncover commercial opportunities
  • Coach, mentor and manage team members from different disciplines and people across K+C. 
  • Help junior associates with less complex digital transformation or client-wrangling experience to rapidly progress and develop

Develop new propositions and ventures for clients

  • Work with clients and cross-functional team of developers and designers to uncover new opportunities to create value or improve their organisation with technology
  • Experiment, incubate and prioritise to make the case for further investment in the most promising opportunities

Lead a strategic product or transformation project

  • Work in a tight, cross-functional team with our clients to explore, validate and uncover a path to delivery for a new product or service, or outline an organisational transformation roadmap

The type of person we’d love to meet

  • You have a wealth of experience and understanding of digital transformation and the nuances of delivering change in enterprise environments, either in-house or in a consultancy context
  • Experienced in the development and delivery of new business pitches and proposals
  • You’re an innovative thinker who pushes the boundaries and loves thinking about commercially viable solutions for organisations to embrace digital solutions for growth and efficiency
  • You can lead out on and effectively communicate a product, service, or transformation strategy to C level stakeholders, and are able to demonstrate strong understanding of ROI and business benefits of digital change.
  • You’re able to think in both business and behavioural models, researching and analysing organisations, and develop insight into customer behaviour;
  • Somebody who possess a deep knowledge of how products and services get built, launched and grow - from discovery through to delivery and live;
  • You’re able to employ a varied toolkit of frameworks and techniques from across disparate areas of consulting, design, technology and tangential fields;
  • You truly understand what makes an excellent customer experience, and how that translates into commercial success for businesses;
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and applying those tools to the organisation you work within - not just clients.

Nice to Have

  • You are passionate about technology and the transformative effect of software on the world
  • Experience in planning and facilitating collaborative working sessions
  • Experienced navigating the structures, politics and incentives of the large organisations we (usually) work for, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience working as a strategic leader in technology or design agencies / consultancies

The interview process at Kin + Carta

Here’s what to expect from the interview process at Kin + Carta: 

Intro Call with the Talent Team (30 mins) – If your skills and experience match the role requirements, our Talent team will contact you to arrange a call.  The aim of this call is to get to know you and for you to find out more about Kin + Carta. This call can be held either by telephone or Zoom. After this call, if we feel like you are a good match for the role, you’ll be invited to a first-stage interview.

First-Stage Interview (45 minutes) - This will typically be a Q&A style interview, lasting approximately 45 minutes. This process is designed to help our team find out about your skills and experience but also what you enjoy and what motivates you. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask our team questions and  learn more about us! If you are successful in the first stage interview, you will progress to the next stage of our interview process.

Second-Stage Interview (60-75 minutes)- This interview will last approximately 60-75 minutes. It’s a chance for our team to see how you apply your skills and experience and assess how that matches our expectations for the role. It’s also a chance for you to meet more of our Kin (that’s what we call our colleagues here at Kin + Carta). The key purpose of this interview is to get an understanding of how you would approach a challenge you’re likely to encounter. 

Making a Decision - Following the interview process, our hiring team will get together to discuss feedback and make a final decision. We aim to get back to you as soon as we possibly can! 

Our average recruitment process takes around four weeks. You will be assigned a dedicated member of our Talent team  to support you throughout the process.
