Senior Ruby Developer

This is a great opportunity to join Kin + Carta on a contract opportunity, working with one of our key clients with the public sector. The project is based around revitalising the search function of the client website, to improve functionality and user friendliness.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Several years of recent production Ruby experience
  • Alternatively: substantial upper-senior level experience in other languages and ecosystems with some past professional experience with Ruby
  • Experience building services aligning with government digital development principles
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and its wider ecosystem
  • Experience with test-driven development, ideally using the RSpec or Minitest frameworks
  • Experience in RESTful API design
  • Nice to have: prior experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps principles, and working in a (micro) service-oriented architecture
