What "Kin + Carta" stands for
The origin of our name, our history of delivering transformative work and our culture of celebrating one another’s full self is something we’re pretty proud of. “Kin” refers to ‘family’ and “Carta” refers to ‘maps’.
Kin is who we are, Carta is what we do. We are a connected group of diverse individuals, mapping the future of technology, together.
At 2,000 Kin across the globe, we are large enough to solve for the world’s most pressing challenges, yet small enough to care about you, personally.

Why Kin + Carta is different
We’ve committed to being an internationally recognized best place to work. For you and our Kin, here’s what that looks like in action.
Opportunities to cross and transform industries
Sampath Kunta, Technical Principal, said it best: “As a consultant you get the opportunity to work with various industries — implementing some of the best practices that you have tried and learned within one industry to others you are currently working in.”Client case studies
Honoring the lives of our Kin
Morgan Sweet, UX Design Principal, shared: “I think why work-life balance is so great at Kin + Carta, is because they recognize that work-life means different things for different people. We have parents, we have puppy parents, we have people buying homes, people getting married, people taking night classes. Kin + Carta provides the flexibility for us to live life outside of work the way that is valuable for us personally.”More inspiring stories from our Kin
Personalized growth and career path
Hear from Omar Shanti, Senior Technical Consultant and Labs Lead, what this looks like in action: “Being a consultant at Kin + Carta is about leveraging the resources, learning from the folks around you, and using that to drive business value for our clients, as well as develop your own brand and your own technical and functional skill set as well.”Additional benefits at Kin + Carta
Giving our Kin choices
We empower our Kin to make the choices that work best for them and their lives. Hear from Stephen Fells, Delivery Director, what it’s been like for him to work remotely: “Now I am able to have a slightly later start to my day. Things are not so rushed, in fact, those first two hours in the morning, when everyone else is still in bed, is my favorite time of the day. I still use the time to listen to podcasts and in the evening I have been trying to learn to cook ('trying' is definitely the right word to use).”Our commitment to hybrid work
Balancing people, planet and profit
Deena McKay, Senior Delivery Consultant and US IDEA Co-Lead, explains what certification means: “Becoming B Corp certified allows us to influence other companies, as well as inspire our own team members to raise the bar when it comes to making an impact."
