Employee Experience Business Partner

The role

Kin + Carta is looking for a passionate Employee Experience Business Partner (EXBP) who will report directly to the EXBP Lead and sit on the leadership team for the practices that they support.  

As an EXBP, you will partner with senior business leaders to drive cyclical people processes and provide strategic business support.  You’ll have the opportunity to coach and advise leaders on talent strategy, succession planning, and other people-related issues. Additionally, this position collaborates with EX Specialists (e.g., Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, etc.) to solve business needs. 

Here is a snapshot of what you may be doing:

  • Provide EX consultation and support to designated client groups using knowledge of various HR functions and an understanding of the firm.
  • Drive forward strategic talent conversations with client groups, e.g., team succession planning, retention strategies, employee risk assessment, new role creation, etc.
  • Facilitates cyclical people processes including Performance Management, compensation, and engagement.
  • Lead and enable change management across client groups.
  • Conducts exit interviews, maintains exit data, and reports turnover insights to respective client groups.
  • Collaborate & influence members of the People Team (Generalists, Talent Acquisition, Management, and Development) to ensure cohesive delivery of people programs and services.
  • Assist in building leadership capabilities with designated client groups.
  • Build credible and trusting relationships with Business Leaders to help facilitate effective employee communications and relations.
  • Create data driven EX solutions; leverages data to support leaders in making grounded decisions.

Minimum qualifications

  • 7+ years of HR experience
  • 3+ years in strategic HR / Business Partner position 

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or advanced HR certification preferred 
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and solving complex problems 
  • An empathetic HR professional who strives to ensure all employees have a great working experience
  • Extremely detail-oriented and thorough
  • Ability to create and use complex spreadsheets to analyze data
  • Go-getter with ideas and the follow-through to accomplish them from start to finish
  • Love of learning and always looking to add to your skill sets
  • Strong project management skills
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • The ability to understand, quickly react, and motivate others to adapt to the changing organization environment is a critical key to success
  • Empathetic, enthusiastic communication style
  • HRBP experience in the Consulting Services industry is a plus
