Senior Talent Development Manager

The role

Kin + Carta is a digital transformation organization and BCORP with headquarters in the UK and US, and offices around the world. Kin + Carta’s Global Talent Development team is a new team that is on a mission to create the best learning opportunities for all of our Kin. We are currently 4 people and are looking for a Senior Talent Development Manager to help lead our Global Talent Development Programmes and embed World Class Learning into all parts of our business to help us become Global Best Place to Work.

 

The Senior Manager will design and facilitate Learning & Development (L&D) experiences, as well as create and implement strategic people programs. This includes optimizing processes like performance management, creating and improving learning paths, and ensuring every Kin has a clear career path that will enable them to learn, progress and stay with K+C as they progress their career ambitions. This role will have a team of 3+ incredible TD managers based in multiple locations and will need to be willing to travel to our core offices in Buenos Aires, Chicago, and Denver.

 

Role responsibilities

  • Partner with Employee Experience Business Partners (EXBPs) and business leaders to identify learning needs that support employee development and retention. 
  • Partner with EXBPs and business leaders to understand organizational strategy, conduct talent assessments, and make development recommendations.
  • Design, implement, and facilitate learning programs, applying best practice learning principles.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to design and support team-specific training content, materials, and implementation approaches.
  • Design and implement a variety of people programs (e.g. leadership development, employee recognition, performance management, etc.) to ensure a culture of high performance.
  • Serve as key change management driver, devising ways to facilitate or support organizational development and change efforts.
  • Conduct and present research and survey analysis to support organizational development initiatives. 
  • Coach and advise employees on development.
  • Ensure a diversity, equity and inclusion lens is integrated in all. people learning processes and programs.
  • Stay abreast of organizational development trends and best practices.

  • An Agile mindset with strong understand of leading dynamic programmes that evolve and change rapidly
  • Proven success delivering instructional design and e-learning
  • Bilingual; Strong English language skills and ability to communicate, influence and lead teams in English
  • Confident storytelling to enable business leaders to buy into your plans
  • Strong knowledge in Organizational Development programmes
  • Proven experience applying Adult learning theory
  • Core understanding of Diversity, Equity + Inclusion
  • Experience being a People Leader/Manager who oversees others 
  • Coaching mindset 
  • Experience with organizational change management as we grow and scale globally employees

Preferred Behaviors

  • Good understanding of and experience with driving employee engagement, retention and advocacy through Talent Development
  • Experience working with global teams and driving global adoption/engagement of programs 
  • Comfortable with and experience in consulting and influencing key stakeholders up to and including the executive leadership team
  • Excellent critical thinking and project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead concurrent projects within a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous team environment
  • Experienced facilitator, with a broad focus that includes in-person training, virtual training, and team facilitation
  • Strong collaboration skills with both Employee Experience teams and Technical teams
