Delivery Operations Leader, East

The opportunity

The Role

The Delivery Operations Leader is ultimately accountable for the health of delivery within the territory, start to finish, as measured by revenue growth, gross margin, employee retention, delivery health, and client satisfaction. 

The Delivery Operations Leader should have an entrepreneurial work ethic and ability to juggle multiple work streams at once and has demonstrated success in leading complex programs.

The Delivery Operations Leader will collaborate with all areas of the business to best set up our delivery teams to be successful in the territory. This person must also have the ability to support teams in distress and provide leadership and support, including leading difficult executive-level client conversations. It is also expected that this individual will play a role in sales pursuits as a delivery champion and expert in how we deliver.

This person must have a passion for implementing operational efficiencies across the territory and the region, as well as being a coach to others on our business fundamentals. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the projects sold are structured, staffed and delivered in a manner consistent with the practices in the Americas and across service lines. 
  • Partner with territory leaders to understand our growth strategy and define what is needed from the delivery organization to be successful. 
  • Build strong internal relationships with account and new business leaders 
  • Represents the voice of consulting services & delivery organization amongst territory leadership
  • Works with Americas operations leaders, workforce strategy, location leaders & finance leadership to create targets & forecasts for KPIs across the location (GM, revenue, client satisfaction, employee retention) 
  • Serve as an escalation point for delivery issues, including in a client-facing support role when needed
  • Provide proactive support for our delivery teams through delivery health monitoring
  • Monitor health of the following metrics: 
    • Revenue, gross margin, employee retention & client satisfaction across service lines, practices, and portfolios within the territory
    • Bench health & efficiency (billable utilization)
  • Surface delivery themes across the territory and ensure they are acted upon and improved where needed
  • Collaborate with Delivery Operations Leaders from other territories to drive strategic initiatives and mature the Delivery Practice  
  • Support strategic sales pitches in the territory

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience in delivery leadership on complex projects and leading teams of at least 30+ people
  • 7+ years of consulting experience
  • Agile program management or product management experience
  • Aligned to East Territory 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Demonstrate an ability to hit the ground running providing team leadership, mentorship, and generating impact
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity; possess the fortitude to make decisions without having all the information
  • Be a relationship builder with strong communication skills who possesses the ability to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders simultaneously
  • Effectively prioritize skills with the ability to steer the team toward quick wins and help maintain focus
  • Demonstrate the qualities of a humble servant leader. This is an individual who wants to engage with employees from all parts of the organization and nurture a culture in which people work together
  • Possess a growth and change mindset; an entrepreneurial and fast-moving individual who is always thinking and acting quickly to drive the business forward
