Operations Platform Project Specialist

The opportunity

The role

We are seeking an Operations Platform Project Manager to support the continued transformation and evolution of our Operations Platform. This role will report to the Operations Platform Program Manager with a dotted line to our Director of Global Employee Experience Operations. 

Our Operations Platform is composed of CDS (IT), Finance, EX Ops (HR Ops), and Legal. These highly-critical functions are responsible for driving efficient, data-driven business operations across the Connective. The Platform was officially launched in 2021 and is continuing its digitization across several work streams into 2022.  


Role responsibilities

  • HRIS Implementation

    • Ownership of roadmap and timeline 
    • Manage day-to-day interactions with Ceridian team 
    • Budget management and reporting 
    • Project status tracking and reporting including implementation progress, timeline, and risk management
    • Coordination and alignment with system stakeholders across CDS, Payroll, Finance, Employee Experience , and Force teams
      • Meeting preparation and facilitation 
      • Requirements gathering, including data and process/workflow development and alignment.
      • Dependency management 
      • UAT
      • Timely and effective communications 
      • Alignment with the Ceridian team 
    • Create and manage employee rollout in partnership with EX
      • Organizational readiness / change management planning and execution
      • Create and deploy knowledge management resource portal 
      • Plan and execute internal training sessions
      • Internal communications
    • Plan and facilitate the decommissioning and migration off of deprecated HR systems 

    Operations Platform Project Management

    • Project management support to the Operations Platform Leadership team and Operations Platform Program Manager with delivery of projects, programs, and initiatives across Platform functions including:
      • Creation and ownership of roadmap and timelines 
      • Budget management and reporting
      • Project status tracking and reporting including implementation progress, timeline, and risk management
      • Organizational change management 
      • Internal communications 
      • Dependency management 

Minimum qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in a project management role leading implementation of a global system
  • Experience of delivering project outcomes using Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

    • Project management certification
    • Demonstrable experience in successful implementation of global HRIS system(s)
    • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
    • Good understanding of HR functional areas, practices, reporting needs and data analysis
    • Ability to communicate and translate technical messages into non-technical ones
    • Solid experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, etc.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated ability to lead complex implementation projects in a fast paced, dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
    • A leader that is proactive and demonstrates initiative, flexible, inclusive, and approachable
